We are thrilled to announce a significant upgrade in our machining capabilities here at Calne Engineering with the arrival of 2 brand new pieces of machinery, the DN Solutions SMV4100 and AMADA EG-4010 7-Axis.

SVM4100
The SVM4100 is not just another machine; it’s a leap forward in machining technology. Here’s why we’re excited about our new acquisition:
- Unmatched Precision: The SVM4100 is engineered for high-precision machining to meet the demand for the machinery of complex parts across a range of industries including Rail Sectors.
Ensuring every component we produce meets the most stringent quality standards. - Enhanced Efficiency: With its cutting-edge design and capabilities, this machine has been optimised to provide shorter cycle times by improving the acceleration/deceleration times of the XYZ axes and spindle, thereby reducing the non-cutting times.

- High Productivity: Reductions on part times by as much as:

- 4-Axis Rotary Table: This high-speed, high-precision split system enables vertical and horizontal use and provides a strong clamping force with its compact and high-rigidity body design and double piston application.
EG-4010 7-Axis
Our second machine is the high-performing EG-4010 7-Axis, which is a flexible and efficient bending solution and features the following clever capabilities:
- Bending Cycle: Comprises of three main stages, rapid approach movement, bending and return movement.
- DIGIPRO: A handy, electronic angle-measuring device that transmits the measured angle wirelessly to the NC via an infrared interface. In the event of deviation from the programmed set value, automatic correction will take place.
- DSP – Dual Servo Press System: Two servo motors drive the upper beam with extreme high speeds and accuracy. One servo monitor with low power and high speed drives the approach and return phases, while a secondary servo motor outputs high power for the bending phase. The DSP system enables the use of the most suitable servo power drive for the specific cycle stage. This means reduced power consumption and optimised performance, plus a rapid, approach and return stage.
Ergonomic Solution: Including an adjustable front table, movable controls, adjustable chair and 2 sliding shelves to ensure maximum comfort and convenience for our operators.

What This Means for Our Clients
At Calne Engineering, our goal is to exceed customer expectations by delivering superior products and services. The addition of the SVM4100 and EG-4010 allows us to:
- Expand Our Capabilities: We can now take on more complex projects and offer more diverse machining solutions, broadening the scope of what we can achieve.
- Improve Lead Times: Enhanced efficiency translates to faster production cycles, ensuring your projects are completed on time.
Maintain High Standards: With the latest in machinery technology, we continue to uphold the highest standards of quality and precision in every job.
