Nov 2011 - Calne Engineering are proud to announce they have received a top suppliers award from Siemens. A sign of all the hard work and investment Calne have put over the last few years is working and giving customer the benefits of quality product delivered on time at the right price.
July 2011 - New Automated phone system has now been installed, allowing customers to have direct dial numbers for contacts within Calne Engineering. Mark has recorded the options him self as a personal touch.
Aug 2011 - Calne Engineering now has a new Managing Director, as from the end of this month Mark Board will take over from his father. The employees of Calne Engineering would like to wish Mike a happy retirement, although he still has a role as Chairman within the company structure.
December 2009 - Our latest investment in new technology will see Calne Engineering receive delivery of an MF25 ACF Flexible Cornerformer Machine that will be installed late December ready for full production use in January. This machinery allows us to form/press corners in to low profile doors/panels etc for cabinets, enclosures, signs in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional fold and weld procedures normally used in the manufacture of such item. July 2009 - Calne Engineering have recently invested in the latest generation cutting machine the Amada F1 Laser. The machine gives us the ability to produce high-quality products as efficiently as possible by providing faster piercing and cutting speeds by using linear motor drives for all 3 axes, the superb cutting quality produces sharp corners over its entire thickness range. Capable of processing material up to 3070 mm x 1550 mm in size with feed rates up to 60 m/min and material thickness up to 20 mm. March 2008 - Calne Engineering complete installation of new Saw. The SuperTrad301 is a Manual band sawing machine for solid and metal profiles. Also steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, copper. Robust, versatile and handy, for professional duty.
Two ways miter cutting (45°-0°- 60°).
New round working table providing precision mitering, yet preventing the saw blade to scratch its surface as the cut is completed.
Cast-iron saw frame on twin tapered bearings and ring nut to provide greater stability.
Precision blade-guide with hard metal pads, bearings and anti-corrosion treatment.
Two cutting speeds.
Vice with quick lock lever.
Cutting cycle: vice locking of material to cut - the saw blade runs as long as the operator holds the grip switch - manual pull down of the saw frame.
February 2008 - Calne Engineering continue investment in the latest Machinery. Haeger 824 OneTouch–3 insertion press has been installed. Offering a force range adjustable up to 72 kN, a 610 mm throat depth, 0-215 mm adjustable stroke length and capable of handling up to 1500 insertions per hour, new features include a servo-driven tool changer, a new shuttle tooling platform providing 2-minute tooling set-up for any fastener, new upper vacuum tip system with positive locking, new LED laser part locating light, plus Haegers Insertion Logic version 9 software.
January 2008 - Installation of new Armada Brake Press is completed. The Amada HFP130-3 has several advantages from our previous older machines such as a patented instant reactive beam which achieves parallel beam deflection to ensure consistent bending accuracy, 7 CNC controlled axes, market's largest standard working envelope, flexible tapering back gauge with powered finger positioning and AMNC Windows based network ready control to name a few.
